Weekend Baking! Memorial Day Treats

Hey Reader,

This weekend is Memorial Day in the U.S. - a time to pause and honor those who gave everything. It's also a weekend when we gather with the people we love.

There's something fitting about baking for the people around your table this time of year. If you're heading into the kitchen this weekend, here are some of my favorite bakes for a gathering.

  • โ€‹Tart Cherry Pie Bars: Tart cherries and shortbread crust make a dessert that's tart sweet and easy to transport.๐Ÿ’

  • โ€‹Lemon Pound Cake: This lemon cake is always a great idea for a gathering with friends and family.๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿฐ
  • โ€‹Key Lime Pie: One of my favorite pies, any time of year - tart, creamy, and easy to make. Can't find real key limes? Then use regular limes.๐Ÿ‹โ€๐ŸŸฉ
  • โ€‹Lemon Shortbread Cookies: Easy to make, tart and buttery - these cookies are always a good idea. ๐Ÿ‹
  • โ€‹Blackberry Financiers: These blackberry cakes are an a little almond cake topped with sweet tart blackberries (fresh or frozen).
