It's Citrus Season! Cake Edition

Hello Reader,

It's citrus season, and despite the cold rainy weather it's one of my favorite times of year for baking. When I started my blog I didn't plan on having so many citrus recipes, but here we are and I'm always adding more.

Here are a trio of cakes featuring Lemons, Meyer Lemons, and Blood Oranges. Enjoy!

  • ​Lemon Pound Cake: This is the recipe I learned from my aunt. It's soft and full of lemon flavor from top to bottom.
  • ​Meyer Lemon Pound Cake: The secret ingredient in this delicious pound cake is cardamom. It adds a slight floral note that goes well with the Meyer lemons.
  • ​Blood Orange Pound Cake: This cake features three levels of blood orange, in the batter, in the syrup glaze that's added while the cake is still warm, and the final vibrant pink glaze on top.
